Finally, I'm part of the team!

Last month, a girl form eSendfood called me and asked if they can include CUPPYCAKE in their website where their customers will be able to order according to where they want their food order delivered. At first, I didn't really understand what she was talking about until I got a letter from their president, Ms. Laura Uy.

eSendFood is a service website created for our Kababayan who live abroad to send food or throw a party for their loved ones in the Philippines. Filipinos from all over the world have the power to choose the food they want to be delivered directly to their loved ones from a wide variety of established Philippine restaurants. Including Goldilocks, Red Ribbon, Max, Greenwich, Shakeys, Pizza Hut, Jollibee, Mc Donalds, to name a few. And according to them, they have a good reputation and have many repeat customers from all over the world and that's what I also read from the testimonilas of their satisfied customers!

After reviewing their site, I finally said yes! Who doesnt want a good oppurtunity like this? With this innovative way of having food orders from anywhere in the world delivered to family and friends back home in the Philippines, I will be able to increase my customer base and sales and will surely make a good contribution in my part.

I'm just glad I was able to comply with their requirements. And now that CUPPYCAKE has a new name - CUPPYKLYDE, I know this will be a good start for me!

CUPPYCAKE is now CUPPYKLYDE!

I already got my DTI registration last March 4, 2009 under DTI Certificate Number 00679297. Sad to say, I can no longer use CUPPYCAKE for it was registered by other business. Sayang, i got used to it pa naman na. Kilala na din po ako under that name but what else can I do, mas lucky sya sakin. hehehe But it's okay, KLYDE is the name of my son and I'm still glad I have named it after him. So, CUPPYCAKE is now CUPPYKLYDE!

"New name, but still the same good quality you love!"

Nicole's Christening

I made this cake in less than 14 hours, without sleep! It was a late notice but I accepted the order since it's only 10 pieces mini fondant cakes. I thought it's just easy. But, have you ever felt like your brain is not functioning well for a certain moment? Well, I guess that is the reason why it took me 14 hours to finished it. I'm still glad I made it!

Hailey's Bee cake

I had a very busy week. I had accepted two orders in a row. First, a Bee theme cake for Hailey's Birthday. It is a two-layer carrot walnut cake and 30 pieces Chocolate cupcakes with Chocolate Butter cream and 20 pieces Vanilla cupcakes with Lemon Vanilla Butter cream. I had made the toppers ahead so it would be easy for me to decorate my cakes. She wants to have the cupcakes decorated with bees and butterflies so I add flowers too. I had so much fun making this cake but I had a few problems too. Few of my butterflies does not survived the drying time while others got broken, my bee's wings got broken too, while some were played by my son. hahahaha Good thing I made an extra batches for my toppers for I want to be ready if times like this happens.

She also asked o have a big honey bee at the top of her cake. I thought it would be nice if I'll just but a honey bee stuffed toy and put it on top but I never found one. I had no choice but to make an edible one! I was still it survived the drying time (it weighed 450 grams) and it still looks good though my son secretly pinched it when I was away!

About my two-layer fondant cake, I decorated it first with grass and flower stems not realizing that I made them too close with each other that turned out to be over decorated in my opinion. But all in all, they all looked good. So, here's the bee cake, it's for you to judge na lang.

- I had prepared all the ingredients I need for my chocolate cupcakes a day a head. Now the first step is mixing all the dry ingredients and then the wet ingredients. Then, combbine them together. Serious noh? hehehe

- I'm wearin' my fave apron from Max courtesy of tita Ine, hehehe

Viola! All done!

Kevin's Christening...

Ma'am Michelle Yap from Marikina City ordered 25 mini fondant cake for his son's christening last February 7 right before my birthday. To tell you honestly, it was my first time to make a mini fondant cake with human figures. I thought it is really impossible for me to do it. Tinitignan ko pa lang, parang ang hirap-hirap na! Yun pa kayang gagawin ko na? But I made it. I started by making the oval shape for the body, then small rope for the legs, and the arms, shaping it nicely to look like the shapes of legs and arms. But still can't make a nice hands..I'll try next time. I was really happy with the outcome though I know it's not really perfect. Well, I think I'm good for the first timer right? Hmm, don't make any violent reaction please, it's my moment! hahaha

Follow Up:

After the event, I texted Ma'am Michelle to get feedback from my works. She texted me back saying that their gust love my creations and we could start discussing about the next event, her son's first birthday! Yeepeee...it's really a good feeling, it's all worth the sleepless night and effort! Thanks Ma'am Michelle for patronizing CUPPYCAKE!

Christmas Cakes ordered by Kayeo...

(pictures courtesy of Kayeo)
Here's my creations ordered by Kayeo. Actually, she ordered cupcakes for three (3) consecutive events. First was for Lhoric's 1st baptismal (her cutie daughter) Second was for their Christmas party and the last was for Lhoric's second baptismal. Yes, twice! Kayeo just found my ads at http://www.sulit.com.ph/ and she did contact me then. I was really thankful to Kaye for trusting me and for loving my cakes! Thanks gurl! I'm looking forward to do business with you again!

Grace's debut..

Here's my latest work, a 7 layers of cupcake with rose buds design. I was kinda disappointed that I didn't had the chance to get more photos coz I was soooo busy that time. It was Grace debut (hubby's cousin) and I was asked to be one of the events usherette and to sing a few songs. So busy that I don't even had lots of pictures of my self, with my own camera. hmp...Well, its okei coz I really can't say NO to this family. They are really special to me and I love them so much. Grace is like a lil' sister to me (I don't have a sister ='( ...)that's why I love her, and I love Ninang Cora as well.
Btw, I also made her souvenirs which is cupcake too. And as I was saying, di ko din napicturan! whew' gggrrr...I have to wait for her photo album pa to see if the photographers took them some photos. Well, thanks to Fosana family for choosing CUPPYCAKES to be part of their special event! till next time Graciana and Ninang.
